Switzerland Student Visa Requirements

International students (non‑EU/EEA) must apply for a National Visa (Type D) for studies longer than 90 days.

Required Documents

Applicants must prepare the following documents for submission to the Swiss Embassy/Consulate in their country:

Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
Completed Swiss visa application form (Type D)
Passport‑size photographs (as per embassy specifications)
Official admission letter from Alpine Swiss Business School
Proof of payment of tuition fees (or deposit confirmation)
Proof of sufficient financial means to cover living expenses in Switzerland
Motivation letter explaining study plans and career goals
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Academic certificates and transcripts
Proof of accommodation in Switzerland
Health insurance coverage valid in Switzerland
Visa application fee (as required by Swiss authorities)

Visa Processing Time

Average processing: 8 to 12 weeks
Students are advised to apply at least 3 months before intake
Delays are possible during peak admission seasons
